The Pathinensiddhar

A space dedicated to the Pathinensiddhar — the Eighteen Tamil Shaiva Siddhas — and the living wisdom they left behind for us all to study, grasp, practice, and embody when ready.

These eighteen accomplished ones — Agasthiyar, Thirumoolar, Bogar, Patanjali, Nandeeswarar, Konganar, Machamuni, Korakkar, Karuvoorar, Sattaimuni, Sundaranandar, Ramadevar, Kuthambai, Kamalamuni, Pullippaani, Pambatti, Idaikkadar, and Thanvanthri — were not merely philosophers or healers. They were empirical explorers of consciousness who mapped awareness from the grossest physical body to the subtlest ground of pure being; across alchemy, medicine, yoga, sound, sacred geometry, and the direct science of liberation.

In the past 15 years or so, Master has introduced us to their wisdom, initiated us into their energies, and held us in their presence. In recent weeks/months, I've started to realize that Master does not interpret the Siddhas from the outside: He speaks in the same tongue, his words carry the same fire, and his intent is the same: to awaken and nurture the light of awareness in all of humanity.

Much of the Siddhas' knowledge was once accessible only to Tamil and Sanskrit scholars. With modern AI tools, that barrier is now dissolving. Here, primary texts, manuscript links, key teachings, and open inquiries about these 18 exalted beings will be shared — an invitation extended to all members of the Sanggha, wishing to contribute.

As I write this, the following quote, from Master, came to mind: "The answer is not enlightenment. Enlightenment is the answer." May the light of awareness, kept alive by the Siddhas since the dawn of mankind, shine brighter than ever!
