I wrote this for our group of 17 participants, the elder being Gregory, and the younger being Sevantika and Sushmeetha. Beginning of Covid, years that turned to a blessing, zoom was our daily go to and Master birthed the work programme.

Dare to be seen
Imperfect as humans
We strive to be

Despair
Is despair a dark place?
A place we all at some time share
Tell me please, what you find there
In the corners – emptiness, loss, fear?
Does anger clear the room
Tearful, lonely, stripped bare.
I wrote this poem as part of self care/therapy in dealing with a health issue.
I think the wordplay, the use of writing and journaling is an amazingly profound therapeutic and creative outlet.
