3 Emotional Deprivation Schema, What need have I stopped voicing?

Third in the series, after abandonment and mistrust. This one keeps its head down.

Emotional deprivation does not rage or cling. It learns early that care will not arrive, and it goes still. We become low-maintenance. We keep closeness shallow. We carry the ache where no one can see it and call it independence.

It lives as four threads, not one: a memory of care that was cold or absent, a longing that learned to expect nothing, a body that goes still, and the belief that says why ask. The belief is only the top thread. The whole knot is felt together.

The need underneath was always legitimate, to be seen, soothed, and emotionally fed. The absence was theirs, not a verdict on us.

We heal it one small move at a time. We name a real need out loud to someone safe, and we let it land. I learn to be for me first, and then to receive without guarding. When the old emptiness returns, we can ask anyway and stay.

Schema language for reflection, not a diagnosis.
