Schema formation, from unmet needs

Related to this evening’s discussion on what we needed that we didn’t get — Schemas often form when important emotional needs are not met.

Schemas are deep patterns of belief, emotion, memory, and body feeling. They shape how you see yourself, other people, and relationships.

They can grow from childhood experiences, repeated patterns, and temperament. What starts early can keep echoing into adult life.

Awareness, compassion, and practice
can create real change.
