NRITYA DHYAN

Meditation through movement and expression.
In the Natya Shastra, Nritya is the sacred union of Adavu (rhythmic steps) and Abhinaya (expressive language of the body and face).
Nritya Dhyan uses this union as a tool to quiet the mind, awaken awareness, and reconnect the human to their inner consciousness.

It is presence in motion.
A path to awaken the human — from within.

Led by Devi Letchmanan

I have been learning and performing Indian Classical dance and music since the age of 7, and I know there is something more to be experience through this art form. A tool to see the more of an individual. My meeting with Master in 2018, started creating path and in 2020 I presented Solo dance performance - Kannamma-The Embodiment of Six Rites - a spoken words dance performance, introducing Master's 6 rites. Master's talks, meditation, books and lectures is where I find my Home.

It is no measure of health to be well-adjusted to a profoundly sick society.* *Learn more about this quote – Krishnamurti’s best-known – at shorturl.at/bOSWY 2. The world does not want you to think; it does not want you to be free to find out because you would then be a danger; you would not fit into the established pattern. A free human being can never belong to a country, class or type of thinking. Freedom means freedom at every level, right through, and to think only along a particular line is not freedom. It is very important to be free, not only at the conscious level but deep inside. —Krishnamurti, From Life Ahead 3. We are lazy. When you are lazy, be lazy. But be aware that you are lazy. Out of that awareness, a different sense of meaning to that word comes. When you are lazy, you are lazy – completely. When there is awareness of that laziness, that very awareness corrects the reasons for laziness. It is important to understand yourself, watch yourself as in a mirror. You can only watch yourself in relationship, not in isolation. In that awareness, you come upon something that is indestructible, that is immense. —Krishnamurti, Public Talk 5 in Amsterdam, 1969 4. The rich want to forget themselves in clubs, in amusements, in cars, in travelling. The clever want to forget themselves, and they begin to invent, to have extraordinary beliefs. The stupid want to forget themselves, so they follow people; they have gurus who tell them what to do. The ambitious also want to forget themselves in doing something. All of us want to forget ourselves, and so we try to find something greater with which to be identified. —Krishnamurti, The Collected Works Vol. 8 5. A mind that is full of conclusions is a dead mind, it is not a living mind. A living mind is a free mind, learning, never concluding. —Krishnamurti, Ojai, 1978".

It feels like it’s fading, replaced by something fast, clean, and impressive… yet strangely hollow. We scroll. We watch. We consume. And the more we do, the less we feel. It becomes a loop. Dance fatigue. Movement fatigue. Too much content. Too many moves. Too little meaning. We are overstimulated, numbed to something that once moved us. We chase the butterflies, the real connection. We get glimpses, just enough to stay hooked. Then it disappears again. We see technique. We see control. But where is the honesty? Where are the people? Beginners apologize. Intermediates follow a script. Advanced dancers perform. But are we actually dancing together? Maybe we don’t need more. Maybe we need less. Less proving. Less ego. Less pretending. More truth. Because I don’t miss dancing. I miss how dancing used to feel. And I’m not sure we even realize we lost it. Do you feel this too, or do you completely disagree? #dancefatigue #movementfatigue #dancelife #authenticmovement #dancecommunity souldance realtalk connectionoverperfection dancingtogether danceculture artofmovement deepthoughts eddiehenrique".

If you ask the business man, he will tell you that life is a matter of selling things, making money, because that is his life from morning till night. The man of ambition will tell you that life is a struggle to achieve, to fulfil. For the man who has attained position and power, who is the head of an organization or a country, life is full of activity of his own making. And for the labourer, especially in this country, life is endless work without a day of rest; it is to be dirty, miserable, without sufficient food. Now, can man be happy through all this strife, this struggle, this stagnation and misery? Obviously not. So what does he do? He does not question, he does not ask what life is, but philosophizes about happiness. He talks about brotherhood while exploiting others. He invents the higher self, the super-soul, something which eventually is going to make him permanently happy. But happiness does not come into being when you seek it; it is a by-product, it comes into being when there is goodness, when there is love, when there is no ambition, when the mind is quietly seeking out what is true. J. Krishnamurti Think on These Things #krishnamurti #brain @krishnamurtifoundationamerica".
