Are we capable of consciousness?
We know through neuroscience that humans can experience consciousness on a biological scale. Science has tracked information moving from one area of the brain to another. Forming reactions, memories and learning are all part of consciousness. Without consciousness we would not be able to perform tasks, interpret situations and express ourselves.
However, most of these actions,95% are subconscious actions. Whiich means an automated response without the need for thought, similar to fixed patterns. Which poses the inquiry: does the brain generate consciousness or is it just the receiver?
When we look beyond our sub conscious and our fixed patterns what is our ability to create consciousness? It seems that we live our life satisfied with what is already predetermined, that which is already developed in our sub conscious. This generates the least amount of energy.
So what is consciousness to you? What is that you need to stimulate your awareness beyond your sub conscious?
