Third Eye Chakra + Prefrontal Cortex

Master has been referring to the third eye chakra and the relationship with the prefrontal cortex for many years. I would like to provide an neuroscience explaination. Science is finnally catching up to thousands of years information within the Hindu philosophy.
The third eye chakra is positioned directly between the eye brows and is often referred to as the center of insight, wisdom, awareness and calmness. It is also related to our emotional balance and meeting of logic and intuition.
The prefrontal cortex is also positioned directly behind the third eye. It is the area of the brain responsible for complex cognitive behavior, decision-making and social behavior or emotional regulation in social situations.
It must be understood that thousands of years ago it was believed that activating the third eye was necessary to move towards enlightenment through advanced consciousness. Thousands of years ago before we understood the brain let alone the specific area of the prefrontal cortex.
