Andrew’s struggle, avoiding close relationships

In the work with Dr. Baldawi I’m seeing how much I present myself as something other than what I am to relate with someone. Then to be with that person, by my own doing I’m not allowed to be me. And that person supports not allowing me to be cause that’s what I presented myself as and the relationship was built on. Now I avoid close relationships cause in my mind I have to be something other than what I am to be with someone.

This ties into the childhood schema, where it makes a decisions on relationships emotionally (eg., phiscal attraction). Where a healthy adult makes decisions more analytically, namely, do I have space to be me in a relationship with this person?
